Important: Measles Alert

Following a recent outbreak of measles in London, we strongly advise all parents and carers to ensure that children are fully immunised with the MMR vaccine.

Measles is a highly infectious illness and can be serious, particularly for babies, pregnant women and people with weakened immune systems. Complications can include ear infections, pneumonia, seizures and, in rare cases, brain inflammation (encephalitis).

Please check your child’s Red Book to confirm they have received both doses of the MMR vaccine. If you are unsure about your child’s vaccination status, please contact the practice and we will be happy to check your records.

If you believe you or your child may have symptoms of measles please do NOT attend the practice in person.
Instead, please telephone the surgery or submit an online consultation so we can advise you safely.

Improving access at your GP Practice! Introducing total ‘total triage’ and a new patient app at our practices!

Dear Patient,

We are committed to making it easier for you to access care and to ensuring you have the best possible experience at our practice.

To help us improve your access to our practice, we will be introducing a “total triage” model for all appointment requests and introducing a new patient app that you can use to request support from us – Dr.iQ powered by Evergreen Life.

From Wednesday 15 October 2025, all requests for routine appointments will be triaged by one of our GPs before routine appointments are booked.

What is Total Triage?

Total triage means that every request for an appointment is reviewed by a GP first.

This helps us make sure:

  • You see the right person, at the right time.
  • Your requests are handled as efficiently as possible.
  • Our doctors and nurses can spend more time caring for you and your family.

What this means for you

  • From 15 October 2025 you will be able to use a new online app to request support from your GP practice.
  • Should you wish to still call us or walk into the practice to book an appointment, when you do, our reception team will ask for some details about your request.
    • They may ask more questions than before, this is so the GP has all the information needed to triage your request.
    • We have trained our receptionists in how to ask you for this information.
    • Receptionists will not make clinical decisions. All requests will be triaged by a GP.
  • Once your request is triaged, we will contact you as soon as possible with the outcome and next steps.

Why are we making these changes?

  • To improve your access to care.
  • To ensure you are directed to the right professional or service.
  • To make it easier for you to get the help you need quickly and safely.

How do I use Dr.iQ, powered by Evergreen Life?

More information on how to use the Dr.iQ, powered by Evergreen Life app will be posted on our website on 15 October. This information will include how to download and access the app.

You can also manage prescriptions and view your medical records via the Dr.iQ app.

Patients remain at the heart of everything we do. We are committed to improving access, care, and experience for all in our community.
